Aloe Vera Tropical Smoothie
This delicious Aloe Vera Tropical Smoothie is a great way to increase nutrient intake while getting additional gut healing benefits. Aloe is used topically to heal burns, wounds, or other skin conditions - but is also taken orally, as a dietary supplement, for gastrointestinal conditions like constipation, reflux and ulcers.
Additionally, aloe vera contains vitamin A, C, E and B12 and minerals including zinc, copper, selenium, and calcium. This recipe is refreshing, sweet, and only takes a few minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
½ cup frozen strawberries
½ cup frozen mangos
½ cup frozen pineapple
½ frozen banana
2 tablespoons aloe vera juice
½ cup fresh orange juice, coconut water (unsweetened), or unsweetened coconut milk
Optional additions:
1 tablespoon raw honey, maple syrup, dates or extra banana (for additional sweetness)
1 oz hemp seeds (additional healthy fats)
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds (additional healthy fats)
